Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Ansly (“Ansly”, “we”, “us”) collects, how and why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to our website, desktop apps, and related services. By using Ansly, you agree to this policy.
1. Who we are
Ansly is the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at support@ansly.app.
2. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture to create and identify your account.
Session content. To provide context-aware answers you may upload a resume, add a job description, or add a job link. During a session we process the audio of the other party on your call to produce transcripts, questions, and answers, which are stored so you can review them in your dashboard.
Usage data. We record basic usage such as sessions created, plan, timing metrics, and timestamps to operate the service and enforce plan limits.
Payment data. Subscriptions are processed by our payment provider acting as merchant of record. We receive confirmation of your plan, status, and transaction references, but we do not collect or store your full card details — those are handled by the provider.
Support & communications. If you contact support or submit feedback, we keep your messages and contact details to respond and improve the service.
3. How we use information & legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on these legal bases:
- To perform our contract with you — create your account, run sessions, generate transcripts and answers, and manage your plan and billing.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the service, prevent abuse and fraud, and improve features (balanced against your rights).
- Consent — where required, for example certain communications; you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements.
4. AI processing & sub-processors
To provide the service we share limited data with processors who act on our instructions, including:
- AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) — to transcribe audio and generate answers. We send only what is needed for your request.
- Cloud hosting (e.g., AWS) — to run the service and store your data.
- Payment provider / merchant of record — to process subscriptions and taxes.
- Email delivery — to send account, support, and transactional emails.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
5. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (or equivalent) to protect your data when it is transferred internationally.
6. Data retention
We keep session transcripts, questions, answers, and uploaded documents so you can access them in your dashboard, and account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time; we will delete or anonymize data that we are not required to retain.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EEA/UK you may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have rights to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To exercise any right, email support@ansly.app. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by law.
8. Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage to keep you signed in (an authentication token) and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Sign-in is provided through Google, which may set its own cookies subject to Google’s privacy policy.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information and will notify you of a breach where required by law.
10. Children
Ansly is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you.
